Patio Sliding Door Handle Set With Mortise Lock

Mortise lock and keyed cylinder provide added security for sliding doors. The handle set is designed to fit doors from 1-1/2″ to 2-1/4″ thick, with a 3-15/16″ screw hole spacing. This option is suitable for many standard sliding glass doors and can replace worn or damaged hardware for improved operation and security.

The keyed sliding set adds a second point of security and is designed for doors needing precise alignment and durable performance. The satin or anodized look pairs with many modern doors, while the offset positioning accommodates common track designs.

Diecast and aluminum construction provide a robust option for modern patio doors. This set emphasizes corrosion resistance and a clean black finish that blends with contemporary exteriors. It’s designed for reliable operation and straightforward installation on compatible track systems.

The reversible handle set offers flexibility for left- or right-handed doors, with a single-cylinder design that’s common in entry thresholds. Its matte black finish complements many exteriors and interior frames, while the ergonomic lever provides a comfortable grip for daily use and easy egress in emergency situations.

Buying Guide: Key Purchase Considerations

• Door Type And Compatibility: Confirm whether the hardware fits sliding patio doors, hinged French doors, or both. Check door thickness compatibility and screw hole spacing to avoid misfit.
• Lock Type And Security: Decide between keyed, non-keyed, or privacy-function locks. Mortise locks offer additional security but may require more precise installation.
• Finish And Aesthetics: Match finishes (matte black, chrome, anodized aluminum) to door frames and exterior siding for a cohesive look.
• Durability And Materials: Look for metal brackets, diecast components, and corrosion-resistant coatings to withstand weather exposure.
• Installation Complexity: Some sets are straightforward replacements, while mortise-based hardware can demand precise alignment. Consider professional installation if needed.
• Offset And Hole Spacing: When replacing hardware, ensure spacing aligns with existing screw holes to minimize extra drilling or cosmetic modifications.
• Maintenance: Choose hardware with smooth operation and low friction bearings to maintain long-term performance with minimal maintenance.

Choosing the right patio door hardware involves balancing security, aesthetics, and ease of use. The options above cover a range of door types, from mortise-lock sets to simple pulls, enabling a practical upgrade that aligns with most residential entrances. Consider the specific door thickness, mounting pattern, and preferred finish when making a final decision.
