What we handle

Vine Vellum is a boutique publisher and creative studio focused on thoughtful writing, design-forward publications, and editorial collaborations. We welcome inquiries in the areas below:

  • Editorial submissions — pitches for features, essays, photography essays, and longform reporting aligned with our editorial mission.
  • Partnerships & collaborations — brand partnerships, joint content projects, and curated series with external organizations.
  • Commissioned work — custom writing, design, or small-run print projects for clients and partners.
  • Permissions & licensing — requests to reuse or republish Vine Vellum content, images, or archival material.
  • Press and media requests — interview requests, media kits, and speaking invitations.
  • Subscriber support — account help, billing questions, and delivery issues related to newsletters or print subscriptions.
  • Careers & internships — open roles, internships, and speculative applications.

How to write

To help us respond efficiently, include a clear subject line and the key details up front. For editorial submissions, attach a short pitch (200–400 words), relevant clips or a portfolio link, and a proposed timeline. For commissioned work and partnerships, describe objectives, budget range (if known), and desired deadlines.

Response time

We aim to acknowledge every email within 48 business hours. For editorial and partnership proposals, allow up to 10–14 business days for a full review; more complex proposals may take longer. Subscriber support and permissions requests are typically resolved within 3–5 business days. If a request is urgent, please mark the subject line accordingly and we’ll prioritize when possible.

Who’s listening

Messages go directly to Vine Vellum’s editorial and operations team. Our core staff includes journalists, designers, and publishing professionals with decades of combined experience in storytelling, editorial production, and brand collaborations. We treat all submissions and inquiries respectfully and confidentially; if your message requires non-disclosure, please indicate that in the email.

Privacy and attachments

We accept PDFs and links to hosted portfolios; please avoid sending very large files without prior notice. Personal information you provide is used only to respond to your inquiry and manage the requested service. For privacy questions, include them in your message and we will provide our data-handling practices.

Prefer to keep it short? A concise subject line and one-paragraph summary are often the fastest route to a helpful reply. We look forward to reading your ideas.
